We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Lillian Metcalf of Waynesville, North Carolina, born in Madison, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thara Wheeler and Vaughtie Allen Wheeler; her husband Paul Metcalf; and her siblings, Inice W. Smathers, Gary David Wheeler and Roy Lee Wheeler.

She is survived by: her children, Paula Minzenmayer (Dean), Marsha Arrington (Alan), Stanley Metcalf (Daurice) and Greg Metcalf (Melissa); her siblings, Vernell Shuford (Randall), Howard (Birdell), Earl (Patsy), Russell (Rita), Alvin (Linda) and Gerald Wheeler (Oveda); her siblings-in-law, Brenda Wheeler and Keith Smathers; her grandchildren, Phillip Ferguson (Andrea), Crystal Stanford (Steven), Ame Swanger (Neal), Emily Metcalf, Laura Davis (Ronnie), Caleb Metcalf, Caty Metcalf, Johnny Metcalf, Angel Metcalf, Kirstie Arrington (Sam Goss) and Jon Arrington (Hanna); her great grandchildren, Colbie, Davis, Dawson, Jaxon, Rowan, Reagan and Alexander; her foster son Verlin Shuler; and her daughter Louise Shuler Green. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
