She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Amanda Sutton Franklin; her husband Horace E. Messer; and her daughter Cathy Marie Messer. She is survived by: her children, Edwin D. Messer (Faye) and Becky Davis (Leonard); and her grandchildren, Judy (Willy), Joni (Michael), Marty, Brad (Amy), Chris, Tara (Scott), Melissa (Shane) and April.
