She was predeceased by: her parents, James Grover Cleveland Paxton and Annie Elizabeth Jones Paxton; her daughter Cynthia Wood Harrington; her former husband Billy Furman Wood; her husband Horace M. Green; and her siblings, William, Wallace, Roy "Dude", Joseph "Buzz", Bonnie, Annie Dee, Winnie and Katrina.

She is survived by: her sons, John A. Wood, James L. Wood and David O. Wood (Debra); her grandchildren, Sarah Wood, Matthew Harrington and Stephanie H. Fleming; her great grandchildren, Ella Coleman, Ben Fleming and Little Matt; her sister-in-law Jennie Paxton; and also Thomasine P. Harkins.
