He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph George and Ruth Russell Sursavage. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sursavage of Waynesville; his children, Karen Sursavage of Cullowhee and Mark Sursavage of Rocky Mount; his siblings, Katherine Holman of Black Mountain and Jim Sursavage (Mary) of Florida; his nieces and nephews, Fig Holman, Lisa Cooper, Bud Holman, Russ Kirkland, Tommy Cooper and Wesley Cooper; and his great-nephew Andrew Cooper.
