It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonas Larry Gunter (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on September 18, 2018, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Lois Swecker. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Shuler Gunter; his children, Jonas Charles Gunter (Sandra) and Laura Ginger Thayer; his brothers, Johnny Gunter (Cheryl) and Jackie Gunter; and his grandchildren, Simon Gunter, Ashley Lee, Tiffany Lee and Ricky Lee. He is also survived by one great-grandchild; and his hunting companion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Cove Elementary School at 401 American Thread Road, Marion, NC 28752.
