He was predeceased by: his father John Head, Sr.; and his brothers, Jerry Head and Larry Head. He is survived by: his mother Vergie Head; his wife Jeanette Elizabeth "Liz" Head; his children, Gary Head (Connie), Edwards Lipe, Jr. (Brandy) and Scottie Lipe (Fallon); and his grandchildren, Justin, Allie, Payton, Caleb, Zack and Micah.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Woodland Baptist Church (545 Crabtree Rd, Waynesville, NC 28785).
