He is survived by: his children, Cindy Noland, Larry Fugate (Cindy) of Waynesville, Cathy Carson (Paul) of Canton, Mary Beth Akers, Stephanie and Charity Fugate; his stepson Daniel Black of Waynesville, NC.; his close friend Laura Sullivan; his grandchildren, Kendra, Kelby Noland, Taylor Fugate, Hannah Brown, Paige Fugate, Tristan, Cayden Carson, Chloe Fugate, Emma Akers, Ivy Blazer, Anna Leigh, Isiah and Enoch James; his siblings, Patricia Sharp (Sam) of Canton and Jerry Fugate (Teresa) of Washburn, TN; and his sister-in-law Maxine Fugate of Waynesville.

The family will hold a private family viewing at Garrett Funeral Home due to Covid restrictions.
