She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent George William; her husband Charles William Hipps; her children, Elizabeth Jane Hipps (Christopher Midyette) of Raleigh, William Travis Hipps (Nadine) of Australia and John Bates Hipps (Becky Simpkin) of Chapel Hill; and her brother William Bates (Suzanne) of Nashville, Tennessee.
