James Cathey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Cathey (Waynesville, North Carolina), who passed away on August 16, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Cathey and Emma Smathers Cathey; his wife Aileen Fulbright Cathey; his daughter Brenda Cathey; and his siblings, Rena Cathey, Teri Hall and Charles Cathey.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Carolyn McElroy (Edgar) and Hazel Fulbright. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Activity Department of Haywood Lodge and Retirement, 251 Shelton Street, Waynesville, North Carolina 28786.
