He was predeceased by: his father Claude Trantham; and his siblings, Vester, Rufus, Ray, James Trantham, Lola Mae Conard, Mildred Haney and Maxine Mehaffey.

He is survived by: his sisters, Judy Parton, Carolyn Parker (Chub) and Juanita Ledford of Waynesville; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Trantham and Darlene Trantham.
