She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ledford and Bertha Rathbone Ledford; her husband Melvin C. Messer; her brothers, Wade and Robert Ledford; her half-brothers, Ham, Weaver and Ammons Rathbone; and her sister Beulah Arrington.
She is survived by: her sons, Howard M. Messer (LaMarcia) of Clyde and Terry Michael Messer of Waynesville; her grandchildren, Teresa Muse, Kenneth Messer, Mary Cashwell, Amber Hower, KaLee Marie Golden and Jadyn Denty; her great grandchildren, Jessica Dippy, Michala Hall, Caleb, Ivy Rose Cashwell, Tyler, Christian, Jonathan Messer, Ensley, Hudson Golden, Eleanor and Charles Hower; and her great great grandchild Raylan Messer.
