He was predeceased by: his sister Peggy Anne; his brother-in-law Bobby Gentry; his niece Jane Britt Gentry; his parents, Alta Mae (Fox) and Bernard Britt Sweeney; and his siblings, Agnes "Sis" Rose Misuraca, Betty Jean, William Gerald, James Britt and Billy.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Charlotte Anne and Susan; his nephew Bob Gentry (Cecile); his great-nieces, Calvert McMahan (Jason), Brenna Gentry and Jenni Gentry; and also, Preston, Holden, Harrison and Wyatt of Franklin.
