He is survived by: his wife Barbara Swanger Mintz; his children, Karen Lovin (Alvin) of Newport, TN and Roger Mintz of Waynesville; his grandchildren, Stacie Mintz of Asheville, Aleisha Leonard (Matthew) of Wilmington and Gene Austin Mintz of Waynesville; and his brothers, Dewey Mintz and Boyd Mintz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
