She was predeceased by: her parents, Helmut Pape and Rosemarie Otte Pape; and the fathers of children, Herbert Sherman and James Edward Tate. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Sanford; her children, Rebecca Palmer (Chris) of Knoxville, Ann Cunningham (Heath) of Chicago, Illinois, Patrick Sherman (Ashley) of Galesburg and Tommy Tate (Jaime Blazer) of Waynesville; and her siblings, Bärbel of Germany, Thaden of Germany, Ute Holte of Germany, Stefan Böckelken of Germany and Andreas Pape of Germany. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
