He is survived by: his wife Edith Morrow Messer; his children, Sheila Messer of Waynesville, Kyle Messer (Martha) of Waynesville and Julie Messer Robinson of Waynesville; his siblings, Clara Parrott (Grant), Arletta Long (Claude), Dorothy Crawford, Sandra Messer, Allen Jenkins and Scott Jenkins; his grandchildren, Jonathan Miller (Kasey) and Kalem Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Kensleigh Miller and Kaleigh Holcombe.
