We are sad to announce that on March 29, 2024, at the age of 97, Edith Summerrow Whisenhunt (Waynesville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Summerrow and Iva Allen Summerrow; and her husband Murray Ray "Bud" Whisenhunt Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Murray Whisenhunt, Jr. (Sharon), Karen Owen (Bill), Laura Koob (Michael) and Mark Whisenhunt (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Kaitlin Owen, Caroline Brantley (Matt), Emily Tracey (Joshua), Nathan Owen (Emily), Heather Gehman (James), Jacob Koob, Philip Koob, Katherine Quinn (Tom), Meredith Whisenhunt and John Walter Whisenhunt; and her great grandchildren, Gemma, Genevieve and Isabelle. She is also survived by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Edith Whisenhunt to Hazelwood Presbyterian Church (Missions Fund).
