She was predeceased by: her husband Jake Nichols; her children, Karen Nichols Sutton, Nancy Cheryl Nichols Rhinehart and William Marvin; her parents, Dewey Rhinehart and Hennrietta Rhinehart; and her siblings, Melvin Rhinehart, Violet Cole and Barbara Rhinehart.
She is survived by: her son Darrell Nichols (Janet) of Waynesville; her sisters, Mirth Henson of Canton and Betty Henson of Canton; and her grandchildren, Jason Ashe (Chanta), Heather Jones (Tony), Jessica Edwards (Russell), Jacob Nichols (Emily) and Jovi Nichols (Kerrington). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
