She was predeceased by: her husband David C. Edwards; her daughter Patricia "Patsy" Moore; her brothers, Howard and Wayne Stamey; her grandson Michael Nanney; and her son-in-law Kenneth E. Lanning.
She is survived by: her daughter Evelyn Lanning of Waynesville; her brother Neil Stamey of Canton; her son-in-law Sonny Moore of Waynesville; her grandchildren, Julie Brittain (Patrick) of Boone, Kathleen Lanning of Waynesville and Kevin Lanning of King, NC; and her great grandchild Jacob Brittain. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Bethel UMC, 804 Sonoma Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
