He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Reece and Normie Reece; and his brother Charles David Reece. He is survived by: his wife Shelia Whigham Reece; his siblings, Mike "Daff", Jimmy Reece (Carla) of Bethel, Johnny Reece (Mary Helen) of Balsam, Martha Whitener (Michael) and Jane Reece of Bethel; his parent-in-law Bruce; his daughter Celeste Parris Lamb; his nieces and nephews, Matt (Leeanna), Spiff, Chris, Josh (Angel), Jeremy (Kandace), Cade (Sarah), Seth, Sherrie (Jeff), Vanessa (Jason) and Ivey; and his great-niece Kaylee. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
