He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Pearce and Jewel Pearce. He is survived by: his wife Gail Pearce; his sons, Rob Pearce and Geoff Johnson; his mother-in-law Loretta Stimens; and his close friend Kevin Humbert.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Savannah Volunteer Fire Dept. in Sylva, NC.
