She was predeceased by: her parents, George Knipe and Hazel Knipe; and her sisters, Karen Lederer (Mike), Joyce Geer (John), Joan Walker (Phil) and Cynthia Bird (Bill).

She is survived by: her nephews, Lesley Geer Quick (Jennifer Geer Brockington), Jonathan Walker, Michael Bird and David Bird; and her sisters, Margaret Brown and Louise Caldwell.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garrett Funerals and Cremations. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Garrett Funeral Home (460 N Main St, Waynesville, NC 28786).
