He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Ammons Bacon; his stepfather Mortimer "Morty" Bacon III; his son Jonah Cogburn of Waynesville; his brothers, Steve Mintz (Karen) and Gary Mintz (Christeen); his stepsiblings, Stiles Bacon and Faye Bacon; and his aunt Betty Smith (Bobby).
