He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Davis Alley and Edith Purcell Alley; and his siblings, Corinne "Connie" Alley Killian Withers, Zebulon "Zeb" Doyle Alley and John "Jack" Hampton Alley.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Fuqua Alley; his children, Charles Fredrick Alley (Rick) of Jacksonville Florida, DeAnne Alley Preston (Mark) of Portland and Laurel Peffer (Andrew) of Huntsville, Ala; and his grandsons, Gage and Nolan Peffer. He is also survived by many nephews and a niece.
