She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Cogdill and Nettie Mathis Cogdill; her siblings, George, Vernon, Verlin Cogdill, Edith Haskett, Mattie Coggins, Jean Cogdill, Barbara Owen and Mary Evelyn Cogdill; her son Dewayne Ford; her granddaughter Misty Ford; and her stepdaughter Allison Taylor.
She is survived by: her husband Alvin "AJ" Brown; her stepson Jeremy Brown (Deborah); her grandsons, Sammy, Eli, Lucas and Logan Ford; and her stepgrandchildren, Hunter and Madisyn Brown. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
