She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonas Bogue and Annie Wilson Massie; her sisters, Frances Gunter and Nettie Rogers; and her friend Sylvia Wright.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Sutton (Mike) of Waynesville, David Arrington of Wake Forest, NC, Benny Arrington (Jane) of Waynesville and Jerry Arrington (Nelda) of Arden, NC; and her friend Kate Thurber. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
