She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Sanford and Verlin Viola Sanford; and her siblings, Rufus Sanford and Marie Kilby. She is survived by: her husband James Robert "Cat" Chambers; her daughters, Betty Jean McGaha (Dwayne), Patricia Chambers and Carolyn Sue Denny; and her brothers, Gene Sanford and Wray Sanford.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Church of God (24 Hallelujah Dr, Waynesville, NC 28786).
