Though Shirley Mae may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Jathan G. Lee, Jr.; her parents, Ralph H. Daniels and Lillie Mae Woodle Daniels; and her daughter Susan Nakamura (Donny) of Waxhaw. She is survived by: her children, Jathen G. Lee, III (Donna) of Waxhaw, Jonathan Lee (Melanie) of Lancaster, SC., Gail Cole (Rick) of Clemmons and Brenda Mayberry (Dale) of Mint Hill; her sister Carolyn Chilton of Florence, SC; and her pet Precious. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
