He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Frances Belk Walkup; his children, Tim Walkup (Kim) of Waxhaw, Dean Cox (Stephen) of Conyers and Patty Liles (Larry) of Waxhaw; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Amy, Nat, Brandon, Brad, Ryan and Ritchie; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Corey, Holden, Adah, Lawton, Braxton and Justin; and his great great grandchild Chase.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 5300 Nesbit Rd., Waxhaw NC 28173.
