With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Paul Lingerfelt of Waxhaw, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Robert Paul has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Paul Lingerfelt and Mary Muffy McFarland Lingerfelt. He is survived by: his wife Denise McWhorter Lingerfelt; his daughters, Hannah Lingerfelt and Candace Lingerfelt; his sisters, Cathryn Williamson (Glenn) and Carolyn Brown; and his granddaughter Victoria "Tori" Leigh Lingerfelt.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
The family has requested donations be made to LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), Levine Children's Cancer Center or St. Jude.
