He is survived by: his wife Paula Byrd Murphy; his children, Christopher Lee Murphy (Jackie), Brian Edward Murphy, Pamela Sue Murphy Strong (Ron) and John Wesley Murphy (Sara); his stepbrother Bruce Murphy (Darlene); his grandchildren, Rachel Nicole Murphy, Sandra Jo Boyd (Michael), Benjamin Lee Strong (Hailey), Christian Lee Murphy (Kaci), Joshua Murphy Strong, Victoria Rachelle Murphy and Katelyn Michelle Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Ella Grace Strong, Madylin Nicole Strong, Ryder Lee Murphy, Bentley Jackson Strong, James Alexander Boyd and John Thomas Strong.
