He was predeceased by: his father Jack Vernon Walker; his brother Thomas Walker (Red); and his grandmother Katie Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Candace Laney of Waxhaw; his son Robert F. Laney; his mother Frances Walker of Catawba; his siblings, Hoss Laney, Tim Walker, Jack Walker and Theresa Roper; and his grandchildren, Savannah Laney and Robert Nathaniel Laney.
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Unity Cemetery (840 Unity St, Fort Mill, SC 29715).
