He was predeceased by: his parents, George P Hughes and Jessie Megeath. He is survived by: his wife Ina Sue Horton; his son Phillip Richard Hughes (Tracy Hays); his grandchildren, Sharon Elizabeth Hughes and Phillip Richard Hughes II; and his sisters, Dot Lewis, Pat Hughes and Nancy Cazenas.
