He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Edwin Sims, Sr. and Inez Pierce Sims; and his brother David Lee Sims. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Dean Sims, Gina Marie Holley (Sims) and Michelle Rae Sims; and his grandsons, Christopher Morris Sims and Jonathan Richard Sims. He is also survived by his wife, children.
