It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Ray Blackwelder of Waxhaw, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverand Ray and Roberta Blackwelder (Cockraine); and his daughter Tammy Blackwelder. He is survived by: his wife Judith Blackwelder; his daughters, Sandy Blackwelder (Malcolm Myers) and Jennifer Taylor (Chris); his brothers, Harvey Blackwelder (Teri) and Jim Blackwelder (Teresa); his grandchildren, Erica Gilmore (Nate), Hannah, Luke and Katelyn Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Clancy and Murphy Gilmore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
