It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen C. Burnette of Waxhaw, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Parks Cruse and Edyth Oates. She is survived by: her husband Ted Burnette; her children, Beth Malpass (Mike), David Burnette and Rick Burnette (Amy); her granddaughter Jennifer Platt (Bryan); and her great grandchild Noah Platt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made out to the American Diabetes Association.
