John Barry Joyner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Barry Joyner (Waxhaw, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elliott and Marjorie Yarborough Joyner; his daughter Christi Lynn Joyner; and his brothers, David Joyner and Carson Joyner.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Myrick Joyner; his daughter Andrea Joyner McKnight (Russ); his grandchildren, Chloe McKnight Wright (Tommy), Sophia McKnight Morris (Jordan) and Harrison McKnight; his great grandchildren, Riley Knick, Davis Morris, Maverick Wright, Kylee Wright and Ryker Wright; his siblings, Merwyn Joyner (Susan), Melba Joyner and Robyn Gordon (Doug); and his sister-in-law Judy Joyner. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hermon Baptist Church (9713 Lancaster Hwy, Waxhaw, NC 28173). Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
