“Helen and I go back so many years. I was so sad to hear of her passing only via what is left of our NBC “family”. Her love for the OBX started with visiting me and my family’s vacation house there. She, and other NBC people were with me on 9/11/2001 just after I retired. They all left to get back to work. I was left to ponder the NC sky filled with shooting stars but no airplanes. She was part of my daughters lives, and they will miss her too.”
