It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Starnes of Waxhaw, North Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennings Augustus Cook and Mabel Pressley Cook; her stepmother Willie Mae Cook; her siblings, J. A. Cook, Harrison Cook, Joe Cook, Tony Cook, Bobby Cook and Bernice Hunter; and her son-in-law Johnny Hildreth.
She is survived by: her husband Albert J. Starnes; her children, Debbie McCray (Benny) of Monroe, NC, Cindy Hildreth (Chris) of Monroe and Bo Starnes (Pattie) of Waxhaw; her grandchildren, Jonathan Hildreth (Brittany), Amber Love (Chris) and Kristen Keller (Brett); her great grandchildren, Ava, Eli, Luke, Rhett, Emry, Reid and Emerson; and her siblings, Larry Cook, Brenda Joyce Nash, Jean Cook and Pam Simpson (Dwayne).
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity or church of one's choice.
