It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Massey (Waxhaw, North Carolina), who passed away on September 7, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Massey and Dessie Massey. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Trull; his children, Gina Rhoney (Terry) of Maiden, Jerry Massey of Gastonia and Kelly Winfield (Jim) of Monroe; his siblings, John Massey (Barbara) and Helen Todd; his granddaughters, Jordan Roth (Errett), Sheena Byrum (Steven), Miranda Baucom and Jessica Winfield; and his great grandchildren, Cayden Boatright, Joseph Winfield and Annistyn Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Union County and the American Cancer Society.
