He was predeceased by: his parents, Friedolin Botzenhart and Barbara Ringholze Botzenhart; and his brother Robert Botzenhart (Marilyn Botzenhart). He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Haas Botzenhart; his children, Mark Botzenhart (Lauren), Beth Ann Olmen (Tim) and David Botzenhart (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Adam Botzenhart (Caroline), Lindsay Botzenhart, Karin Baker (William), Daniel Botzenhart (Emily), Megan Botzenhart, Jacob Botzenhart, Matthew Botzenhart (Erin), Paul Botzenhart, Samuel Botzenhart, Yabsra Webb, Rebecca Bechtel (Michael), Joshua Silleman, Lucas Bechtel and Cole Skelly-Webb; his siblings, Raymond Botzenhart and Barbara Kompinski; and his pet Sugar. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
