He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rudolph Critcher and Lillie Hartley Critcher; his siblings, Don, Bill Critcher (Velma), Carl Critcher (Ethel), Sammie Critcher, Jerry Critcher, Selma Hollar (Lige), Mary Cook (Ledford) and Joanne Wellborn (Jack); and his siblings-in-law, David Castor, Robbie Critcher and Virginia Critcher.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Critcher; his son Greg Critcher (Melissa); his grandchildren, Ryan and Ava Critcher; his siblings, Dwight Critcher, Tommy Critcher, Margaret Cook (Roger) and Faye Castor; and his sister-in-law Gloria Critcher. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Bereavement Meal Ministry Fund or Equip Recreation Ministry at 3505 Bamboo Road, Boone, NC 28607.
