He is survived by: his sons, William Plyler, Jr. (Tracy) of Waxhaw and Ronald Plyler (Michelle) of Waxhaw; his grandchildren, William "Tray" Plyler (Meagan) of Waxhaw, Christa Plyler (Josh Reynolds) of Waxhaw, Chrissy Gamble Andy of Lancaster, Katie Plyler (Chance Brantley) of Waxhaw, Quinton Plyler (Allie) of Lancaster and Morgan Evans (Brian) of Waxhaw; his great grandchildren, Trinity Clark, Julian Clark, Austen Plyler, Sawyer Plyler, Wyatt Plyler, Landry Palmer, Lilly Kate Gamble, Lynnlee Gamble, Braxton Gamble and Lane Plyler; his wife Annie Norwood Plyler; and his daughter Cheryl Ann Plyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
