She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold Dixon Tyson; her son Kevin Daryl Tyson; and her brother Kenneth Folger Starnes Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Sam Tyson (Lisa Tyson) of Waxhaw, Vickie Tyson Evans (Mark Evans) of Falls Church, VA, Marlene Tyson Wallace (Kenneth Wallace) of Greenville, NC and Lisa Tyson Laton (Larry Laton) of Waxhaw; her daughter-in-law Donna Thomas Tyson Helms of Waxhaw; and her sisters, Loma Tyson of Monroe, Betty Lou Mosley of Waxhaw and Gloria Price of Pineville, NC.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
