She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Carstensen and Anna Reuss Carstensen; her son Steven Michael; her siblings, Clarence, Dennis, Gerald, Johnny, Joann and Bonita; and her husband Albert "Doug" Broome.
She is survived by: her daughter Anna Marie Stickle of Indian Land, SC; her siblings, Patricia Jorgensen (Mark) of Denison, Iowa, Norman Carstensen of Ida Grove and Dean Carstensen of Boise, Idaho; and her stepchildren, Bill Broome (Karen) of Boise, Tracy Broome (Linda) of McCall and Phyllis Hansen (Jay) of Raymond, Nebraska.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
