Alice Essey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Essey of Waxhaw, North Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Alice leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Lee Herring and Lou Ray Caison. She is survived by: her son Stewart "Stu" Essey (Christy) of Waxhaw; her granddaughters, Tara and Paige Essey; her sister Claudia Platt of Altamonte Springs, FL; her nephew Scott Stearns (Erin) of Orlando, FL; and her great-nieces, Kendall and Courtney Stearns.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lake Church (1930 White Lake Dr, Elizabethtown, NC 28337).
