He is survived by: his wife Hazel Rouse Simpson; his children, Timothy Simpson of Wilmington and Lisa Green (Rick) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Allison Green of Chicago, IL and Richard Simpson Green (Sim) of Raleigh; his brother Lenwood Simpson (Elaine) of Greenville; his sister-in-law Betty Owens; his niece Christy Rawls; and his nephew Harry Hunter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and inlaws.
