He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Blanton and Lacy Blanton; his wife Virginia; his daughter Brenda Arlene Blanton; and his siblings, Roy, Jimmy, Steve Blanton, Mary Hardin and Rachael Croom.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Blanton, John Blanton and Barry Blanton (Lisa); his grandsons, Kevin Blanton, Tony Murray (Samantha), Brandon Blanton and Michael Blanton; and his siblings, Faye Rivenbark and Carson Blanton. He is also survived by eight greatgrandchildren; one great, greatgrandchild.
