He was predeceased by: his parent John William Skinner. He is survived by: his parent Ruby Skinner; his wife Sharon "Sherry" Young Skinner; his daughter Julie Anderson (Sean) of Alma, GA; his grandchildren, Zoey Anderson, Myles Anderson and Lucy Anderson; his sisters, Dennisse Crumbaugh (Marty) of Waxhaw, NC and Traci Trotter (Pat) of Richmond, IN; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Wright (Russ) and Cindy Herold (Tom); and his nieces and nephews, Todd Crumbaugh (Holly), Cory Crumbaugh (Ashley), Staci Vredeveld (Jeremy), Amanda Thornton (Justin), Hannah Trotter, Holly Trotter, Chris Wright, Cassidy York and Aubrey Blue (Jason).
Gary's last gift on this earth was the gift of sight to others by donation of his corneas through Miricles of Sight.
