She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Whaley, Sr. and Tiffine Hardison Whaley; her husband Robert Lee Hedgpeth, Jr.; and her brother James Edward Whaley, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Lynn Hedgpeth Frederick (NC) of Jacksonville, David Bryan Hedgpeth (Amy) of Magnolia and Mark Stephen Hedgpeth (Stephanie) of Watha; her grandchildren, Mitchell David Frederick, Tiffine Amber Frederick of Jacksonville, Evan Cole Hedgpeth of Germany, Brittany Hedgpeth of Charlotte, Devlin Stanton (Kylie) of Burgaw, Opal Hedgpeth and Regan Hedgpeth of Watha; her great grandchildren, Jaxson, Savanah, Liam, Waylon and Kade; and her siblings, Mary Bond of Watha, Joanne Nichols of Kinston, Betty Powers of Fayetteville and Vincent Whaley of Watha.
