He was predeceased by: his parents, William I. Cochran, Sr. and Priscilla Harris Cochran; and his grandson Patrick Cochran. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his sons, William I. Cochran III (Cindy) of Washington and Richard A. Cochran of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Emily Cochran Martin (Brady) of Asheville, Kyle Cochran (Sara McKinney) of Sanford, John Paul Cochran of Charlotte, Grace Cochran of Richmond and Virginia; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Holder of Wilmington and Suzanne Hughes of Old Fort; his stepgrandchildren, Morgan Holder, Braxton Mira-Knippel, Savannah Mira-Knippel and Abigail Holder; and also Cooper Cochran of Sanford.
